I was always a naughty kid but things got really bad when I was around 12 and started smoking and ditching school. Things went from bad to worse and I eventually got expelled from school. I didn’t care about anything and lived recklessly and dangerously until I was forced to go into rehab. It was there that I started to think about the way my life was going. I realized that I wanted something better for myself. I was trying to be different and unique by rebelling but it obviously wasn’t working. I knew that if I wanted to be unique, I needed to start being kind to myself and not accepting this kind of lifestyle for myself. Today I have a college degree and a good job and I love showing kindness to others. I try and tell people to be kind to themselves first, and kindness toward others will naturally follow.
